The other day her dog collapsed and was rushed to the vet. They diagnosed her with Evans syndrome. She required an emergency blood transfusion and overnight stay in an oxygen chamber as her red blood cell count dropped below 14%.
Unfortunately, this was just a temporary fix and she is in need of another transfusion. I covered the first bill which was north of $3600. The next round of treatment should be cheaper as it is not at the emergency vet.
