Lately, I’ve been hearing people say this cycle has been different because there wasn’t a classic CEX altseason.
But come on, haven’t you noticed that the altseason did happen? It just happened with memes and this time.
At the start of last year, during the moodeng cycle this summer, and especially the AI season with Act, Gnon, Goat Fartcoin, Virtual.
The old kind of Cex altseason doesn’t exist anymore simply because no one wants to get dumped on with high FDV coins like Ondo or Ena.
So now VCs are basically just racing to dump on each other.
There actually was a kind of altseason at the end of 2023, when there were still few people onchain, and we all rushed to buy TIA, SUI, SEI, INJ, SOL.
But then the situation changed. That’s the point. The altseason did happen, but with this dispersion caused by the evolution of Solana and the market became extremely efficient, so things changed a lot.
There will definitely be more in the future, what’s changing is just the way they show up.
The 4 year cycle played out perfectly.
