See for example the video below from @ipecity in Brazil. Crypto is mature enough now to build fully digital governance. So they combined onchain ID (via ENS) with an onchain social graph (via EFP) with stablecoins to create a governance platform.
This self-serve platform then enabled residents to build apps that benefited the community, from onchain crowdfunding to smart doors to p2p payments to a social marketplace. Most apps were built with @Replit and other AI tools in just a few weeks.
I think this kind of thing is the future of digital public goods. It’s a self-organizing community building its own governance layer, aiming to eventually become a network state.
