The physical sculptures are modeled after German painter and printmaker Albrecht Dürer's 1515 depiction of a rhinoceros. Each is 40cm long and made of 90 individual pieces of silver arc-welded, hammered and engraved. Via @alastairjwalker, Chief Creative Officer of @AspreyStudio: “Dürer’s Rhinoceros is one of the most iconic drawings and woodcuts in European art history. His artistic mastery remains unmatched. We have added Asprey Studio’s dimension to it, one that we hope inspires people too.” The first sculpture produced is acquired by the Museum for 3.5 BTC and marks its first Ordinal. The digital and physical triptych includes three 1m x .7m embroideries by Maison Vangart.
