Yield Guild Games (YGG) is a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) focused on investing in NFTs used in virtual worlds and blockchain games to generate earnings and rewards for its active players and contributors. Some well-known games and investments that constitute the YGG ecosystem include Axie Infinity, League of Kingdoms, The Sandbox, Guild of Guardians and Splinterlands.
Apart from investing in NFTs, YGG rents out their NFTs to guild members who use these NFTs in their respective gaming and metaverse environments. A portion of the earned in-game rewards are then shared with the guild. By doing so, YGG has enabled the onboarding of millions of players to the play-to-earn (P2E) gaming revolution.
YGG, the name and ticker of Yield Guild Games DAO's native token, is an ERC-20 token backed by the guild’s assets. While the YGG token presently serves as a governance token for the guild, in time, it will also earn its holders rewards based on the underlying activities conducted by the guild.
