The September FOMC minutes reveal a divided path ahead.
All 19 officials backed the 25bp hike to 3.75%–4.00%, while most kept another hike on the table before year-end.
Yet markets have slashed October hike odds from ~70% to just 20%.
Now the October 14 CPI becomes the key test before the Oct. 27–28 FOMC.
Could CPI bring the hawks back, or cement an October pause?
