The altcoin leverage trade is getting crowded. Altcoin perpetual OI recently moved above Bitcoin’s for the first time since Dec. 2024, while total crypto futures OI has now pulled back from $62.4B to $59.5B. Liquidations jumped to ~$256M. Rotation is real — but leverage can unwind fast.
