ETF flows: If BTC and ETH ETFs continue seeing inflows while prices remain stable, it could indicate that supply is being absorbed—potentially setting up for a breakout.
CPI: A softer-than-expected CPI could be the most immediate bullish catalyst, as lower yields and a weaker dollar would generally support risk assets.
Hormuz: This remains the biggest macro wildcard. Sustained oil-price increases could push inflation higher and reduce expectations for Fed easing.
Bullish scenario: Strong ETF inflows + soft CPI + easing Hormuz/oil risks → stronger repricing in BTC, ETH and equities.
Risk scenario: Hot CPI + higher oil + weakening ETF demand → higher yields, pressure on risk assets, and continued crypto consolidation.
Key point: ETF inflows alone don't guarantee a breakout. Price action, Treasury yields, DXY and spot demand should confirm the move.
Simple thesis:
ETF = Demand → CPI = Fed/Liquidity → Hormuz = Inflation Risk.
Among the three, CPI could be the most immediate market-moving catalyst, while Hormuz could influence crypto indirectly through oil, inflation and Fed expectations.
