Axie classes: the basics
Every axie has six body parts, one body type — and belongs to 1 of 9 classes:
• Beast
• Aquatic
• Plant
• Bug
• Bird
• Reptile
• Mech
• Dusk
• Dawn
A newborn axie also has a 50% chance of inheriting either of each parent’s class.
This means if two bird axies breed together, the newborn axie is guaranteed to be bird axie as well!
Genetic Makeup Details
Axies have a genetic makeup consisting of dominant, recessive, and minor recessive genes.
These genes affect breeding outcomes, with each type having a specific chance of being inherited by the offspring:
• Dominant [D]: 37.5% chance
• Recessive [R1]: 9.375% chance
• Minor Recessive [R2]: 3.125% chance

Why this matters for breeders
The more you understand genetic probabilities and makeup, the more you can strategize your breeding efforts.
Here’s a quick example:
Axie A has:
• D: Topaz
• R1: Topaz
• R2: Tricky
This means Axie A gives:
• 37.5% + 9.375% = 46.875% chance for Topaz
• 3.125% chance for Tricky
Axie B has:
• D: Topaz
• R1: Topaz
• R2: Topaz
This means Axie B gives:
• 37.5% + 9.375% + 3.125% = 50% chance for Topaz
So together, the offspring will have 96.875% chance to inherit Topaz and 3.125% chance to inherit Tricky — for the eye part, in this example.
