Lindyness is secondary to belief
A lot of memes are lindy, but people don’t really believe in them. This will lead to underperformance
The peak hype cycle for these already happened. It’s hard to repair sentiment on a coin that’s down 90%+ with a ton of bagholders
Memes resemble NFTs in 2021. There are lindy NFTs, but that doesn’t mean they were good buys
You need to find value and coins that truly inspire belief
And not coins that have already gone parabolic and reached peak attention, but coins that are flying under the radar. These have clear skies to make people believe again
Lindy memes are going to be even stronger IMO. Bullish $FARTCOIN etc
Culmination of:
-Decimation of the trenches/dont expect to see 2024 environment again (like that)
-Fewer strong runners/no more 1 sol and a dream imo
-More of a move to 'value' and $ generating protocols (see ORE)
I'm not saying that onchain is done forever or that there wont be more memes to run. Ofc there will be huge winners in the future.
But I don't think that there will be many runs like we saw like pnut/chillguy/jellyjelly and a bunch of the recent ones with that frequency.
So I think that the established memes like fartcoin, pepe, bonk, etc are all going to be somewhat stronger going forward. People will want a way to express bullishness on memes and there wont be as many newer runners that they can cling to. Let's see
