I lost money or brokeven from January - August or something. Then hit ASTER and BSC rotation with size and was up huge basically back to January port.
Unfortunately I am retarded and BTC was hitting ATH and I was extremely bullish BSC eco so I was consolidating my profits into 4 / ASTER.
Got nuked on BSC winter when they launched memerush and then got nuked again on 10/10 and took a huge hit. Roundtripped all my ASTER gains and more.
I was able to long the bottom after selling ASTER.
Unfortunately, instead of closing my positions I roundtripped a bunch of it. Ended up chopping myself up a bit more from there.
Currently still rekt.
But as a multi-cycle cockroach, I'll live for another day
at the point where i've been slight positive/breakeven over the last 6 or so months and its making me question my entire skillset. been spending a lot of time trying to redefine my process as a lot of my recent performance has made me question whether i had a good one at all. i no longer believe i know anything and while its definitely weighing on my mind, there's a side to it that's refreshing. feels like a fresh start.
one thing that has really helped me carve my way through the thicket was thiccy's tweet the other day. he mentioned that many people define themselves on things that are unsustainable (pnl, talent etc.) when they should be defining themselves based on the sustainable (process). i think taking pride in how i conduct myself as opposed to how much money i make is key to my growth.
another thing that has helped me tremendously with taking profits is focusing on IRR as opposed to ROI (s/o it4i) considering time as a key element in understanding a trade's value e.g. a 2x in one day is better than a 10x in a year.
