OKX Money is an app for holding USD stablecoins, earning rewards on your balance, and spending with a card or QR code. It uses your existing OKX account, so if you already have one you can sign in straight away.

How do I get started?

  1. Download the app from money.okx.com/download

  2. Sign in with your OKX account, or sign up if you're new

  3. Complete identity verification

  4. Select Add funds to fund your balance

Only download OKX Money from money.okx.com or an official app store. Files sent to you in messages, or found on other websites, may be fake apps built to steal from you.

For guidance on spotting scams and protecting your account, visit our Risk and fraud section in the OKX help center — the same advice applies to OKX Money.

FAQ

1. What can I do with OKX Money?

  • Hold USD stablecoins: You can hold USDG, USDC, or USDT.

  • Earn rewards: Your USDG balance earns rewards automatically, and your funds stay in your balance.

  • Spend: Pay with your card, or scan a QR code where that's supported.

  • Send: Send to friends and family on OKX Money instantly and for free.

2. Who can use OKX Money?

You'll need to be in a country where OKX Money is available, and to complete identity verification before you add or move funds. The app checks your location when you sign up.

Some features, including the card and buying with your local currency, are only available in certain countries. The app shows you what's available where you are.

Because OKX Money uses your OKX account, the same eligibility rules apply. See the Individual verification FAQ for the full requirements.

3. Do I need an OKX account?

OKX Money uses the same account as OKX. If you already have one, sign in with the same details. If you're new, signing up for OKX Money creates your OKX account, and it works in both apps.

Identity verification is carried over in both directions — verify in either app and you're verified in both.

4. Do I need the OKX app too?

No. OKX Money works on its own.

5. How do I complete identity verification?

Identity verification works the same way as it does on OKX. See A beginner's guide to identity verification and the Individual verification FAQ for accepted documents, the steps, and what to do if verification fails.

You can download the app and create your account before verifying. We'll ask you to verify at the point you first add or move funds.

6. Which countries is OKX Money available in?

The app tells you to sign up if your country isn't supported. Card availability and local currency options are separate — check the Pay tab and Add funds to see what applies to you.

7. Why won't my app load, or I can't sign in?

  1. Check your internet connection, and switch between wifi and mobile data

  2. Update the app from your app store or money.okx.com/download

  3. Close the app fully and reopen it

  4. Restart your phone

You sign in with the email address or phone number and password on your OKX account. Because the account system is shared, the sign-in methods are the same as on OKX — see the OKX help center for password resets and other sign-in problems.

Your balance is held in your account, not in the app on your phone, so changing or losing your phone doesn't affect it.
