Bitcoin's ecosystem has room for more than just holding and transferring BTC. Stacks is building around the idea of bringing smart-contract functionality and decentralized applications closer to Bitcoin's security model. However, technological ambition alone is not enough. Long-term relevance will depend on whether developers can create applications that attract consistent users and meaningful economic activity.
