Standard Chartered’s UAE launch matters because it puts BTC and ETH trading inside existing bank accounts for eligible professional investors, alongside custody and potential collateral services. That may reduce operational friction, but it does not prove durable demand or inflows. The real test is whether the wider service stack keeps capital engaged after the first trade.
