About IranSanctionsAndTalks
The US has widened sanctions on Iran, shifting from military pressure to economic isolation as diplomats return. Qatar is pushing talks, while Iran and Oman discuss a temporary Hormuz corridor, joint mine-clearing and management. Easing tensions have trimmed oil's risk premium. If sanctions curb Iran's oil and payment flows, energy inflation and dollar liquidity may reprice. If talks advance first, oil and gold premiums may fall, leaving BTC between weaker haven demand and better liquidity.

Iran risk now has two competing trades. Tougher US sanctions could squeeze oil supply, lift inflation and tighten dollar liquidity. Diplomacy could do the opposite by reopening Hormuz and stripping the risk premium from crude and gold. BTC sits awkwardly between both outcomes. Lower tensions reduce haven demand but improve the liquidity backdrop. The next move may depend less on geopolitics itself and more on whether sanctions or negotiations hit markets first. #IranSanctionsAndTalks

On August 24, the U.S. Treasury announced new "economic isolation" sanctions against Iran — including digital assets on the secondary sanctions list.
Wait a minute.
Let me sort this out.
The U.S. sanctions "digital assets"?
What are digital assets? T#BTC80KHoldOrFold #IranSanctionsOilFalls #StrategyBuildsCash
Oil is falling despite tougher U.S. sanctions on Iran. 🛢️📉
At the same time, $BTC is pushing above $80K.
This divergence is worth watching:
Lower oil → less inflation pressure → potentially better conditions for risk assets.
If oil stays weak while BTC holds above $80K, crypto could continue attracting liquidity.
👀 Watch the macro. The next move may not be purely about crypto.

Don’t get too carried away by this rally yet. 🚨 The new Iran sanctions are set to be revealed at 2 AM US time, and hotter-than-expected measures could escalate Hormuz risks, pushing oil and safe-haven demand higher. BTC and ETH could see a sharp spike followed by a pullback.

the Strait of Hormuz about to be blocked? BTC is stuck around $77,000, and my short position is starting to feel the pressure. 😅
1. At 2 AM tonight, the U.S. is set to impose what it calls its “strictest sanctions” on Iran.
Basent described the plan as an “economic Normandy landing.”

Oil is down. Stocks are flat. Everything looks calm.
Gold is making new highs and the dollar keeps sliding.
Those don't belong in the same morning.
Calm people don't buy insurance. Gold ripping while nothing happens means big money is quietly hedging — against inflation, against government debt, against the AI trade being wrong.
The whole week comes down to two things.
→ What the US actually does to Iran
Washington is threatening sanctions on anyone helping Tehran. Iran called it an act of war and threatened the backup oil routes out of the Gulf.
Now look at actions instead of headlines: attacks in the strait cooled off over the weekend, Iran quietly let tankers through, their president is still defending the deal with the US.
That's not escalation. That's leverage.
Oil down 1.3% to $93 is just profit-taking before the announcement. It was up over 5% last week.
All that matters is who gets hit. Iran alone? Priced in. Chinese buyers, banks and shipping? Oil is back above $95 within days.
→ Nvidia reports Wednesday night
The actual event of the week.
They're expected to nearly double revenue from last year. That's the baseline assumption, not the bull case.
So a beat does nothing. They need to beat AND guide higher AND prove all that AI spending is turning into real orders.
For crypto: weak dollar is our tailwind. But nothing really moves until Wednesday night clears.

OIL SLIPS AHEAD OF TOUGH NEW IRAN SANCTIONS
Oil prices fell Monday as traders took profits and awaited new US sanctions on Iran.
Brent dropped 1.2% to $93.23, while WTI fell 1.8% to $85.51.
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent is set to announce details at 1 PM EDT, with tougher measures potentially restricting Middle East oil supplies further.
Despite tensions around the Strait of Hormuz, current prices suggest enough oil is still reaching global markets.

🇮🇷🇺🇸 IRAN ADDED ANOTHER PROBLEM TO THE OIL MARKET.
Countries backing U.S. sanctions could now be considered “enemies,” according to Iran.
And tanker traffic through Hormuz is already down 95%.
2–3 large crude carriers are crossing daily vs 8 before.
Yeah, this is probably not the kind of supply shock oil bulls were asking for.

There is a new development in the US-Iran situation.
The sanctions have officially been implemented. As a result, oil prices dropped immediately. More importantly—while sanctions are being imposed, negotiations are also progressing simultaneously. Qatar is acting as the mediator, and Iran and Oman are discussing a temporary navigation route through the Strait of Hormuz, with concrete arrangements likely to be made soon.#BTC80KHoldOrFold #IranSanctionsAndTalks #Anthropic30TTAM

This round of US "economic isolation" against Iran has intensified, encompassing digital assets, shipping, and gold, with nearly 60 entities blacklisted, clearly aiming to halt military and hit wallets#BTC80KHoldOrFold #IranSanctionsAndTalks #Anthropic30TTAM
