I'm going to expand on the DADAfi concept shared by @lex_node back in 2021 and re-emerging here as the trashiest fork Web3 has ever seen. Rising nationalism and fascism echoed throughout Europe as governments enforced strong patriotic agendas. Trust in traditional economies were collapsing as the world experienced hyperinflation and rising speculation on the booming stock market. Public discourse was becoming increasingly absurd and extreme and many traditional values were collapsing as the new era was born. Enter- Dadaism A movement started that rejected artistic elitism, government propoganda and social norms and embraced chaos and absurdity in a world that no longer made sense. Disillusioned by the pretentious boundaries of traditional art, the hard realities of the suffering in the trenches, and the need for self expression that questioned what realism really was, Dadaist raged through collage, farcical and bizarre expressions of community. And now here we are, 2025 years later. on the cusp of another revolution (from industrial to artificially intelligence) watching as the world no longer makes sense- Our presidents are memes, our financial systems are controlled by puppet masters and the creation of perfect art is lost to the hand of prompted techno-slop. We are in the perfect storm of a dadaist remergence re-imagined for the modern area. Enter- Gorbagana Born out of a back and forth between @aeyakovenko and @lex_node on the nature of copyright and IP as it relates to blockchain, Gorbagana is evolving into a dadaist abstraction of Web3 culture, blockchain technology and late stage capitalism. Rejecting crypto-capitalist norms of VC funded tech-development, Gorbagana leans into community collaboration, vibe coding and technological realism being abstracted to bizarre lengths. The Gorbagio NFT collection is a dadaist collage of the modern era, with artifacts from across our digital culture splashed haphazardly through it. The tech is an abstraction of SOL's logic to strange and unconsidered possibilities- pushing back on classic approach to the blockchain trilema of safety/speed/decentralisation. The community embraces trash, accepting the financial nihilism that goes with trading Internet Capital markets in a time of global unrest, senscent capitalism and a world that no longer makes sense.
