Sony's Q2 report will be most useful for showing whether recurring digital revenues can carry weight across both PlayStation and music. Software, subscriptions, streaming and licensing each reward engagement, but they do not move in lockstep.
I will be watching for the balance between those lines, not simply their growth. The release may clarify how diversified Sony's consumer ecosystem really is.
