Governance is a central part of Compound’s investment thesis. Decisions around lending parameters, collateral requirements, and protocol upgrades can influence how the lending market operates. However, governance participation does not automatically translate into stronger token demand. The important distinction is between COMP’s role in protocol decision-making and the economic benefits token holders may actually receive under the prevailing governance framework.
