ADA at $0.25, are you looking to buy the dip?
ADA dropped from 0.28 back to 0.25, down 8% in 24 hours, down 70% in a year. The RealFi bullish news is still there, but the price has fallen first. Is this a shakeout or has the narrative collapsed? 0.244 is the last defense line; if it breaks, don't hold on stubbornly.
Let's look at the surface first: the bullish news just came out, but the price fell, leaving retail investors confused.
On October 1, RealFi bullish news came out: stablecoins entering institutional credit with a 9% annual yield. On October 3, ADA surged from 0.237 to 0.282, up 19% in 5 days. But today, it dropped 8% in 24 hours, back to 0.25. The 7-day gain is only +2%, and it's down 70% over the year. The candlestick tells you: 0.262 has turned from support into resistance, 0.244 is the launch platform, and 0.237 is the low point of this round. All technical indicators are shouting one thing: the rebound is over, don't chase.
But has the narrative really collapsed?
First: Gains built on leverage have to be paid back sooner or later.
From October 3 to 5, ADA open interest surged 25%. Who was buying? Leveraged funds. Today, BTC and ETH both fell, ADA's volatility was even greater, and stop losses below 0.26 were hit consecutively. This is not a denial of RealFi, but a liquidation of leverage.
Remember: Exhausting bullish news is not bearish; it's the exhaustion of leverage. The real bottom is when no one dares to buy.
Second: RealFi is genuinely bullish, but the market is not buying it now.
Stablecoins entering institutional credit at 9% annual yield sounds attractive. But the problem is no new fund size disclosures and no second institution following up. T. Rowe Price's active ETF allocation was a single event, and it was said yesterday that such a rise is easy to digest. Dijkstra won't come until the end of 2026; TOKEN2049 was just a cameo, not a product launch.
In plain language: The story is good, but the money hasn't arrived. If 0.28 can't be surpassed, it can only return to 0.25.
Third: Macro and BTC are the real drivers; ADA is just a high-beta little brother.
Iran attacked a Hormuz oil tanker, Brent crude at 101.5, the dollar strengthened, 10-year US Treasury yield at 5.31%. BTC dropped from 86600 to 83560, ETH fell below 2600. The Fed minutes will be released tonight. ADA's beta is higher than BTC's; if BTC can't hold 83000, ADA will test 0.237 first; if BTC recovers to 85000, ADA has a chance to revisit 0.27.
Don't focus on ADA's candlesticks; focus on BTC and oil prices. If you can't understand the overall market, why do you think you can catch ADA's bottom?
Bull vs. Bear, judge for yourself:
On one side: RealFi bullish news remains, 0.25 is only slightly more expensive than 0.244 on October 3, buying the "launch position still intact."
On the other side: Leverage is exiting, 0.262 has become supply, down 70% in a year, huge circulation, no scarcity premium.
Key level 0.25, only 0.006 away from the lifeline 0.244.
Resistance above: 0.262 → 0.270-0.274 → 0.282
Support below: 0.249 → 0.244 (launch platform) → 0.237 (this round's low)
Trading strategy (no nonsense):
Aggressive: Around 0.25, try a very light long position, stop loss at 0.242. First target 0.262, second target 0.270. Reduce half at 0.260. No adding before the minutes.
Conservative: Wait for 0.237-0.244, stop loss at 0.230. Better to wait for a rebound above 0.262 before following. Stay out if it doesn't reach.
Breakout: Only consider chasing if volume supports a stable break above 0.282 and a pullback doesn't break 0.270, target 0.30. Not valid now.
Bearish: If the 0.262-0.270 rebound is weak, light short positions on the pullback, stop loss at 0.276, targets 0.249 and 0.237. Don't hold shorts near 0.237.
Position sizing: Single trade risk no more than 2% of total funds, leverage no more than 3x. Positions built yesterday are already being reduced today.
Risk management priority:
If it breaks below 0.237 with volume, reduce positions, next target 0.22.
If the minutes are hawkish or oil prices jump, reduce leverage first.
If BTC breaks below 82600, reduce ADA leverage first.
ADA dropping from 0.28 to 0.25 is a reaction to BTC and oil prices, not a denial of RealFi. What can be done is to defend 0.244 or wait to stand back above 0.262, not to go all-in at 0.30 during the pullback.
0.25 is not a bottom, but a pullback continuation. Don't mistake a pullback for a reversal, don't mistake a rebound for a bull market.
ADA down 70% in a year, are you still waiting to break even? First ask yourself, are you investing or gambling?
