$2445 worth of ETH, are you chasing it?
Let's look at the surface first: rebound 30%, fluctuating at high levels, bulls and bears in a tug-of-war.
In mid-August, ETH rebounded violently from 1900, reaching a high of 2565, but in recent days has retreated to fluctuate between 2400-2500. 24-hour fluctuations are less than 100 dollars. Holding above 2400, repeatedly pushed above 2500, it's time to choose your direction—don't let both sides cut you off.
First: ETFs have been buying 1.4 billion yuan in a row, but the price doesn't rise—you've been deceived by "stagflation."
US spot ETH ETFs have seen net inflows for several consecutive days, with about $1.4 billion cumulatively over nine days, with BlackRock's share being extremely high, at one point approaching $200 million in a single day. This is not a rebound driven by retail investor sentiment, but rather ongoing passive buying.
Sounds all good news? But the price fell back from 2565 to 2445. Because retail investors are watching the candlestick while institutions are eating chips.
Second: ETH's fundamentals have two "hidden positives" that you didn't understand.
First: The staking rate soared to 34%, with the exit queue approaching zero.
More than one-third of ETH is locked in staking contracts, and no one wants to sell. Exchange sellable inventory is low, and floating funds are shrinking.
Second: BlackRock launched a staked ETF product (ETHB).
The logic for institutions allocating ETH has changed—from "pure price gambling" to "digital assets with coupons." A 3% staking yield, combined with the expected price appreciation, is a disruptive blow to pensions and family offices.
The third thing: the macro market has played a "ghost card" to suppress all risk assets in the short term.
New Federal Reserve Chair Warsh made his first speech at Jackson Hole in a hawkish tone: "The underlying trend of inflation is still unsatisfactory, and there is still work to be done." "
The market has raised the probability of a September FOMC rate hike from 35% to 50-60%, the dollar strengthened, BTC fell from 81,000 to 77,000, and ETH came under pressure simultaneously.
This is currently the biggest uncertainty—if September's CPI exceeds expectations again and rate hike expectations continue to rise, ETH could fall back to 2300 or even lower.
The bullish and bearish showdowns are up to you
On one side:
ETFs saw 1.4 billion yuan inflows in 9 days, with institutions continuing to buy
Staking rate 34%, exit queue reset to zero, floating tokens depleted
ETF products with staking launch, ETH becomes an "interest-bearing asset"
A 30% rebound from 1900, indicating a bullish technical outlook
The 2400 support has been held multiple times
On one side:
Warsh leans hawkish, with probability of a rate hike in September rising to 50-60%
2565 failed to pass three times, with heavy selling pressure above
The short-term RSI is close to being overbought, weakening momentum
Lacking ETH's unique catalyst, it follows the macro trend
If BTC falls further, ETH will be dragged down
Resistance above: 2450-2480 → 2500 → 2530-2565 (previous high supply zone) → 2750
Support below: 2400-2417 (strong support) → 2380 → 2300-2320
Operational strategy
Short-term:
If it pulls back to 2410-2400 and stabilizes, light positions and test long positions, stop loss below 2380, first target 2480-2500, second 2530. Rebound to 2480-2520 but volume can't keep up, reduce or hedge, avoid chasing long near previous highs.
Swing Range:
A cleaner buying point is to pull back to 2400 or even lower, rather than chasing in at 2445. Hold above 2520-2565 with increased volume and recover previous highs, then consider adding positions to 2750. On the daily chart, the market closes below 2300 and ETF outflows continue, so swing bulls reduce positions and wait and see.
ETH's rebound from 1900 to 2500+ this time is a resonance of "fundamentals + institutional funds"—
99% of people think "ETH can't outperform BTC," but the ETF bought 1.4 billion, and the staking rate hit a new high.
On the day 2565 breaks out, you'll notice:
It turns out it's not that ETH is bad, but that you're always panicking at the bottom and FOMO at the top.
How much does your ETH cost?
At the 2445 level, should you increase or reduce your position?
