Last night’s PPI came in hotter than expected, and historically, the probability of tonight’s CPI also exceeding expectations is relatively high. As a result, rate-hike expectations have been steadily increasing, putting additional pressure on the market.
However, Trump’s choice of Walsh is not necessarily aligned with a higher-rate policy. sd
