You need more than just "a fck ton of apps"
You need a flagship app that makes it worthwhile to spend time on your chain that you don't even think that you are on "Monad"
Nobody gives a shit about Polygon, but Polymarket is a fantastic app, so people will use it anyway
You just want to use Hyperliquid for perps, the "friction" isn't a problem
Ethereum - Aave, Pendle etc
While Base used to have this with Virtuals and Solana had it with Pump Fun
Winning apps that aren't copycats bring users to the chain, which gives other apps the chance to capitalize on the new flows and attention, but one main winner is required to fix the initial cold start problem
The problem is that most necessary DeFi specific apps have already been tried and tested
monad is a perfect example of why you need a fck ton of apps in your ecosystem, not just the generic defi and shitcoin launchpads but diverse, innovative new shit to try out
the 100th iteration of memecoins and nfts isn't going to cut it (pretty obvious from the fact that even the main meme couldn't cross 10M mcap)
there's literally nothing to do on there even if i bridge my money, and the TVL reflects that clearly
