Apptokens are a mechanism to leash ERC20 behaviour and mould them to the needs of your app. Few understand this rn, but once they see them trading with rules the 'aha' moment will happen

the possibilities are built for gaming, and also go beyond.
some include 1) royalty enforcing-tokens, 2) spend-only tokens, 3) token trading restrictions (to specific pairs, price ranges, or whitelists), 4) custom vesting, expiries, or seasonal windows, and 5) "backed tokens", with guaranteed redemption logic.
these are just some examples of the constraints that you can place on apptokens (+ the programmable AMM built to service them).
