• YT (Yield Token) → decays over time, and that decay pays you
This is the Half-Life model.
So how does the yield happen?
Every block:
• Protocol fees (AMMs, Valuts, exits) are routed into BTC vaults
• Those vaults stream rewards to YT holders
• As the YT “melts,” the claim decreases, but the rewards accumulate
You get yield without expiry or rollovers.
Why is this better than Traditional yield tokens?
Traditional yield tokens:
• Have fixed maturity dates
• Lose liquidity as expiry nears
• Force users to roll over constantly
Half-Life tokens decay smoothly allowing for predictable risk curves
No end date = constant liquidity = better AMMs = better yield.
So what happens when your YT decays to zero?
You’re left with the PT, your original BTC.
No principal loss. No lock-up.
You always know what you own. But you got yield the whole time paid in BTC.
