PayPal disclosed in a filing Tuesday that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has terminated its investigation into its dollar stablecoin, PYUSD, without taking enforcement action.
PayPal said SEC enforcement previously issued a subpoena in November 2023 for documents related to PYUSD and notified the investigation to close in February 2025.

Bunq, Europe's second-largest digital bank, announced on April 29 that it has partnered with Kraken to launch Bunq Crypto, which allows users to invest in more than 300 cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana, according to Cointelegraph. The service will first go live in the Netherlands, France, Spain, Ireland, Italy, and Belgium, powered by Kraken.
"Our global users have long expected a simple, secure, and straightforward way to invest in digital assets," Bunq said. According to Bunq's research, "about 65% of European consumers want to manage their banking, savings, and crypto investments through a unified platform," and more than 50% of respondents want exposure to crypto but believe that existing platforms struggle to meet their needs in terms of simplicity and security.
