Their focus on ZK Rollup + BitVM2 technology attempts to bring DeFi to Bitcoin, which is a bold endeavor. I’ve mentioned before the technical details of GOAT, such as decentralized sequencers and trust-minimized bridging, allowing transfers from the mainnet to Layer 2 starting from just 0.0001 BTC, which is quite enticing due to the low barrier to entry. This technical route is solid and targets the pain points of the BTC ecosystem—slow transactions, high fees, and poor scalability. If they can elevate the narrative of BTCFi and attract more developers to build applications on GOAT Network, it could indeed spark a wave of excitement. But to say that the crypto world can replicate the bull market of 2017, I think that’s a bit difficult! The bull market of 2017 was the result of the wild growth of crypto myths, driven by retail FOMO, speculation, and a regulatory vacuum. The current market environment has changed; there are more institutional players, higher compliance requirements, and it’s not as easy to ignite retail enthusiasm. How did I become Top-3 in BOB Mindshare I have been following @build_on_bob since the summer of 2024 and I think this BTC L2 is one of the most interesting in the BTC eco. Since then I see a lot of cool guys who are well understand in the product, DeFi, content. With the launch of the @cookiedotfun campaign, we should increase interest in the BTC ecosystem.
