Uniswap highlights an important distinction in decentralized finance: trading volume and token value are not automatically the same thing. Its position in decentralized exchange infrastructure gives it significant ecosystem relevance, but the relationship between protocol activity, fee mechanisms, governance, and UNI's economic role deserves careful attention. A successful application does not necessarily guarantee equivalent token demand.
