Hyperliquid built a perp DEX on its own chain and grew without the usual venture-backed playbook. A big portion of fees has gone toward buybacks, which ties the token to real activity, still rare in this market. The flip side is concentration: derivatives volume swells and shrinks with volatility, and rival venues are catching up. Is this a durable engine or a cyclical one?
