Deutsche Bank's planned BTC and ETH custody in Germany is notable because the roadmap extends beyond safekeeping to stablecoin conversion, tokenized deposits and digital bonds. That can make custody a gateway to broader balance-sheet activity, not just an asset-storage offering.
The open question is execution: a launch within weeks must still translate into assets under custody and durable inflows.
