Simply put: through an SPV, part of the Blackwell chips are transferred to investors, and Amazon leases them back to continue using the computing power.
The benefits are straightforward:
① Releases huge funds, easing the capital pressure of building AI data centers, without having to lock up large amounts of cash in GPUs and data center hardware.
② AI chips officially become investable physical assets, following the asset securitization model of airplanes and energy equipment.
