The maximum amount you can borrow is determined by three factors: the available borrowings based on the crypto balance in your account's margin trading, the maximum borrowing amount based on the tier of your main account, or the margin limits of your account tier, whichever is less. For details on margin rules and tiers, refer to: position tiers for margin borrowing.

Examples:

1. Alice has 600,000 USDT for BTC/USDT trading, and 5x leverage should let her borrow an additional 2,400,000 USDT. However, the maximum amount she can borrow is 2,000,000 USDT, which is the borrowing limit.

2. Bob has 200,000 USDT for BTC/USDT trading, and 5x leverage lets him borrow an additional 800,000 USDT, which doesn't exceed the borrowing limit.

Note that individual maximum borrowing limits vary by trading pair. Even if you borrow 2,000,000 USDT for BTC/USDT trading, you can still borrow an addition 500,000 USDT for XRP/USDT trading. To minimize your risks, we also consider other factors when calculating limits. You can find the final amount on the margin trading page.
