What stack are the "systems that actually meet the promise" use?
@l2beat just reorganised their L2 tracker, to clearly divide those who meet the requirements to be considered a real L2 from those who don't
Let's start to say that surely there are projects who have been recategorised because the L2Beat framework is not all suitable to them: L2Beat does a great job but there is lots of innovation and some of the projects who have been pushed to "others" ARE serious and ARE meeting the promises. I'm sure L2beat will recognise this and amend this choice soon
So this is not an analysis on any specific Chain, but while specificities matter for each individual projects, error gets even out in aggregates
So let's analyse the stacks!
What does the average serious builder use?
Let's start with the worst stacks: who has the largest number of "others"?
And the winner is .... @Optimism OP Stack
This is the stack used by the people who "actually don't meet the promise" ... or not yet
Which stack is used by those who "meet the promise"?
And the winner is @zksync ZK Stack
This is the stack that people who build strong projects use the most
But this could be biased? OP Stack could be just used much much more
So is this the reason why there's lots of people who "don't meet promises" using OP Stack?
