Why would anyone buy $sui over $deep?
What is the purpose of sui? I haven't run the numbers, but napkin math is that deep makes more money than sui does and that number will actually increase with all the incentives and such they'll be throwing at it.
I think about it this way: The "liquidity layer" is the only thing that matters. so far it's been a complete and utter failure overall, but now? Seems like @markoggwp has a chance using it to make a comeback after his NEAR adventure, @aslan_web3 clearly understands what he's trying to do and has the $$$ to do it.
Like they're basically saying that ALL OF SUI DEFI is going to HAVE TO use Deepbook spot/Margin. they are giving away most of the economic activity to a token that is less than 1b fdv.
Now the argument against this is ofc that they don't actually kill off these massive incentives farms and keep deepbook cucked cause they want to maintain KPIs etc.
Still seems like a good r/r.
