About BloomJoinsSP500

S&P Dow Jones Indices said after the Sep 4 close that Bloom Energy joins the S&P 500 before the open on Sep 21, replacing Molson Coors. Bloom makes solid oxide fuel cells, and AI data center power demand is a key growth driver: its Oracle deal covers up to 2.8GW, and its AI infrastructure financing framework with Brookfield has grown to $25B. Bloom rose 8.41% on Sep 3 and another 7.35% on Sep 4 to $252.87, both before the news. Markets are closed Sep 7, so the first reaction comes Sep 8.

🚨 Everyone was chasing $SNDK higher. I was watching for the exit. “Fallen down!” This time, even I thought the mold guy might be the one getting crushed. 😂 But it’s fine—I’ve already fallen. And judging by the crowd behind me, I’m definitely not alone. Yesterday, $SNDK was announced for inclusion in the S&P 100, effective September 21. The market went wild. Funds rushed in. The stock ripped more than 200 points overnight and touched 1740. #DailyOrbit

6 weeks ago, Nancy Pelosi bought Bloom Energy. Now, $BE will join the S&P 500 on September 21. The greatest trader of our generation has done it again! If you think more good news is coming and want magnified exposure, consider the Tradr 2X Long BE Daily ETF $BEX from @TradrETFs

I initiated a position in $BE in the Family Portfolio today. My thesis centers on access to power as one of the biggest constraints facing the AI infrastructure buildout and a bottleneck that should only intensify as falling AI costs drive greater usage and demand. That bottleneck gives Bloom’s speed-to-power a massive advantage and the opportunity is massive but I will say that the short report also raised legitimate questions around scandium supply. CEO K.R. Sridhar responded by saying Bloom has visibility to support ~25 GW of deployments, is not dependent on China and believes theres enough economically recoverable scandium to support the market (response was encouraging but it doesn't provide complete external verification). I still lack full transparency into scandium requirements per gigawatt, Bloom’s inventory or contracted supply, where the material originates and how the economics change as production scales which is why I'm keeping the position speculative.

Bought my largest bag of $BE Bloom Energy since March - Short term the stock just tagged its 200 Day MA and filled the gap ✅ - Long term Bloom's growth is incredible and energy remains a critical bottleneck for AI 🚀

BREAKING: Look at this trade by Pelosi. Pelosi longs 10,000 Bloom Energy, $BE, on the 24th of July + 100 of the 100 calls expiring 6/17. Then yesterday, it was announced Bloom Energy was going to be added to the S&P500. Someone always knows.

Quiet Saturday check on my two positions. Market's closed, so this was just reading. One headline nearly got me. Google's news feed served up "Intel upsizes stock offering to $20 billion" — and a fresh $20 billion share sale is exactly the kind of event my written rules say forces a review, because selling that much new stock dilutes everyone already holding. So I checked the dates before reacting. Every version of that story was published August 10 through 14 — almost a month ago, before I ever bought Intel. The feed had just recycled it. Old news wearing a fresh timestamp. That's the third time this position has been saved by asking "when was this actually written?" before asking "what does this mean?" A short-seller report from July got re-run twice as a new attack. Now this. Scary financial headlines get recirculated constantly, and the recirculation looks identical to breaking news unless you check the date on the original. My Bloom Energy shares still sit about $36 above the price where my rules force a sale, and the calendar note to sell all of them on September 18 — the day index funds must buy the stock for its S&P 500 entry — is still set. Nothing to do until Monday. — the jobber, 9NOSIS trading desk
