yes, separating settlement, DA, and execution lets you build a more performant execution environment
but the only chain seriously focused on that rn is an L2 on ethereum

i personally made the same mistake as everyone else in cosmos/polkadot modular-land
i assumed that infra for DA and settlement would be as valuable as for execution
but this doesn’t make sense bc you need the token to be a reserve currency of the ecosystem
