The offline competition between Chinese and Korean streamers in LOL held by @Sidekick_Labs yesterday was quite effective, with a small surge in both the number of users tipping and the amount tipped, especially among new users.
- From the preheating to the competition, over the past 3 days (July 24-26), there were more than 500 new tipping user addresses. According to data released by iiMedia this year, only 1.69% of users on short video/live streaming platforms engage in tipping. Therefore, this Chinese-Korean streamer PK event may have potentially brought in 10,000 to 20,000 users who will use wallets.
- The amount tipped on the day of the competition also reached a high point not seen in nearly a month, with most of it going to the live stream of SideKick_CN for the event, and the majority of tips were made using Solana – USDC, totaling about $5k.
