Monza – Upgrades to Improve Movement Network Performance
Monza is a major upgrade to the @movementlabsxyz system, which improves network latency and stability. This is an important step forward in decentralising and increasing the performance of the network.
1. Improve latency
Before: Delay of about 12 seconds, due to asynchronous processing – the transaction had to wait for Celestia to create a block (~5 seconds) before it could be executed.
Now with Monza: Latency is reduced to ~1 second, thanks to a refactored data processing mechanism (DA). Transactions are processed simultaneously and sent to a full node for parallel execution.
2. Upgrade Full Node
Before Monza: Transactions could only be sent via the leader node.
After Monza: Transactions can be sent via third-party nodes ⇒ Increase the decentralisation and reliability of the network.
Thanks to the reduction in dependence on leader nodes, the Movement network is now more stable and smooth.
