Infrared Farming Tutorial: Earn Points Through Staking and Liquidity Mining
A few days ago, the big farming project in MapleStory shocked me, and recently I’ve started farming again. Today’s tutorial is about staking with Infrared.
1. Project Overview
Infrared Finance is the core liquidity staking protocol within the Berachain ecosystem. By providing two types of liquid staking tokens (LST), iBGT and iBERA, Infrared addresses the liquidity shortage of the governance token $BGT in the Berachain ecosystem and lowers the barriers for users to participate in staking.
Token Core Functions:
1. iBGT: Generated by staking liquidity tokens (such as DEX LP tokens), it unlocks the liquidity value of $BGT, which was previously non-tradable. Users can use it for interactions with DeFi protocols or secondary staking to earn higher yields.
2. iBERA: Similar to traditional staking derivative tokens (e.g., Lido’s stETH), users can stake $BERA to receive iBERA. Redemption functionality will be available in the future.
3. Points Program: Launching in April 2025, users can accumulate points through staking, providing liquidity, and other activities. These points are expected to be redeemable for native tokens in Q3 2025, with the redemption rate announced during TGE.
