CLPS Launches Web3 Issuance Platform, Adds USDC/USDT Payments

23h ago

CLPS Incorporation (NASDAQ: $CLPS) announced through its wholly-owned Hong Kong subsidiary Qinson Credit Card Services Ltd. that it has launched a Web3-ready issuance platform integrating major stablecoin payment and settlement functions into its CAKU credit-card system. The upgrade positions CLPS to bridge conventional payment networks with on-chain finance, enabling banks, merchants and consumers to pay bills, settle point-of-sale transactions and manage credit using USD Coin (CRYPTO: $USDC) and Tether (CRYPTO: $USDT).

The new platform introduces intelligent smart-contract-triggered minting of stablecoins at a 1 : 1 ratio against fiat currency reserves, automated burning and redemption when users convert back to fiat, and real-time adjustment of reserve records to ensure transparency and peg integrity. The system enables users to select stablecoin payments via card apps, while also delivering near-instant settlement and lower fees for cross-border and high-value transactions.

CLPS said the initial roll-out will target banks, merchants and corporate clients in Hong Kong SAR, with expansion into international markets planned. Banks can issue “stablecoin credit cards” to digital-native customers, while e-commerce and global merchants processing in fiat can benefit from the cost savings and efficiency of blockchain settlement rails.

Raymond Lin, CEO of CLPS, said: “We are at a historic convergence of conventional finance and digital assets. Integrating stablecoin functionality into our CAKU system represents significant technological innovation and a forward-looking initiative for the future of payments.”

The ability to issue stablecoins, facilitate fiat-to-stablecoin conversion and redemption may position CLPS as a key infrastructure player as banks and merchants embrace blockchain native settlement.

Shares of CLPS Incorporation (CLPS) are trading at US$1.02, up 10.08 percent.
