PANews reported on May 27 that, according to Blockworks, on the eve of the first public event after the release of Ross Ulbricht, the founder of Silk Road, the auction of his personal belongings has received bids totaling 0.28 BTC, and the auction will last for three days. The 13 items auctioned through Bitcoin collectibles platform Scarce City include paintings from prison days, clothing, and personal items of special significance such as backpacks used before his arrest in 2013.
In addition, Ulbricht will deliver his first public speech since his release at the Bitcoin 2025 conference in Las Vegas on May 30.
