In 1968, McLaren’s M7A car changed everything - it brought home their first F1 victory and introduced the now-iconic papaya. Back then McLaren got off the ground with sponsors one could regard as "old money". It was this marriage between Bruce McLaren and the commercial partners that defined a generation of racing. Now in 2025, a 'new money' is forming to create another defining moment. It starts with our new money app, standing side by side with McLaren as the team looks back on its history to forge a new legacy. This time we have chosen to help fans relive that era while creating our own mark with our partnership with McLaren.
Today, we’re unveiling something close to our hearts and rooted in both legacy and future vision: the brand-new Riviera-inspired livery on McLaren’s MCL39 race cars. It is also a mark of respect for the anniversary of the tragic passing of Bruce McLaren on June 2, 1970.

In the early days of Formula 1, the sport was sustained by the influence of old money, steeped in tradition, culture, and dedicated fans. This campaign is a celebration, a nod to the legacy of old money and the culture it built around F1. It’s also a signal: new money is here. And like the generations before, we’re here to help transform the sport. The Riviera livery symbolizes this transformation and the elegance and evolution both we and McLaren Racing are known for.
This livery is a celebration. A statement. A fusion of heritage and horizon. As we gear up for the Monaco and Spanish Grands Prix, we’re embracing the spirit of McLaren’s 1960s triumphs and pairing it with the digital energy that drives OKX today.
Our fourth custom livery with McLaren F1 Team is more than a creative endeavor. It’s our tribute to transformation, to the shift from old money to new money, from legacy systems to decentralized possibilities.
And we’re not stopping at the cars. You’ll see Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri repping exclusive OKX-branded race suits during the Monaco Grand Prix weekend. It’s a full-circle moment: the streets of Monaco, the spirit of McLaren, and the future vision of OKX, all racing forward together.
We’ve always believed in pushing boundaries, in speed, in style, in the financial system itself. The Riviera livery is our latest way of showing the world that tradition doesn’t have to be static. It can evolve, beautifully.
Here’s to transformation. Here’s to boldness.
See you on the streets of Monaco.
