How do I add a payment method?

Important Note: C2C trading currently doesn't support adding or using payment methods from other countries to buy crypto. Verified users can only buy and sell crypto using the fiat currency of their registered region.

On the App

1. To set up your payment method for C2C trading, open the OKX app, select C2C trading on the homepage > Select Profile at the bottom > Payment

2. Go to the payment method page, and tap the + icon > Add payment method. You can choose from 3 options: bank transfer, Alipay, or WeChat Pay, each payment method can add up to 10. Fill in the required information and follow the prompts to complete the binding.

If you need to add a QR code, you either can choose third party payment channel's Add invitee QR code or Payment QR code.

On the Web

1. Open okx.com, select Buy crypto > C2C trading > My Profile.

2. Go to Manage payment methods > Add payment method. You can choose a bank transfer, Alipay, or WeChat Pay, each payment method can add up to 10. Follow the prompts to complete adding your payment method.

How do I view, edit, or delete your receiving account?

On the App

  1. Open the app, select C2C trading on the homepage > Select Profile at the bottom

  2. Go to Payment methods to view the payment methods you have added

  3. To change or delete a payment method, click on the account you want to modify, then select Edit/Delete payment method.

On the Web

  1. Open the okx.com, select Buy Crypto > C2C trading > My profile

  2. In the Manage payment methods, you can view the payment methods you have added.

  3. To edit or delete a payment method, find the account you want to modify, then select Edit/Delete payment method.

Note:

  • When binding a payment method, you need to verify all the authentication methods linked to your account.

  • If you don't want to repeat authentication, go to Buy Crypto > C2C trading > My Profile > Settings and select Never under Verification code preferences

Common reasons for being unable to bind and manage bank transfer accounts or other payment methods are:

For bank transfer:

  • Account opened less than 3 months ago

  • Household registration changed/name changed

  • Using a urban commercial bank

  • Bank card number or bank name cannot contain spaces

For Alipay or WeChat Pay:

  • Alipay/WeChat Pay account is suspended, banned, frozen, or restricted by the platform

  • Alipay/WeChat Pay account has not completed real-name verification

  • The registered name on Alipay/WeChat Pay does not match your OKX verified identity

  • Alipay/WeChat Pay account is a business account (personal accounts only)

If your Alipay or WeChat Pay account has been suspended or banned by the respective platform, you will need to resolve the account status issue directly with Alipay or WeChat Pay customer support before binding it on OKX.

What should I do if my Alipay account is suspended, banned, or restricted?

If you're unable to bind your Alipay account because it has been suspended, banned, frozen, or restricted, this is an issue with your Alipay account status and is not controlled by OKX. Please follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to the Alipay app and check for any notifications or alerts regarding your account status.

  2. Contact Alipay customer support directly to resolve the suspension or restriction.

  3. Once your Alipay account is restored to normal status, return to OKX C2C > Profile > Payment to complete the binding.

Note: OKX is unable to lift restrictions placed on your Alipay or WeChat Pay account by those platforms. If the issue persists after your account is restored, please contact OKX Customer Support with relevant screenshots.
