📈Update on stUSDS rates
The lending rate of stUSDS is now at 23.59%
There's currently a small amount of exit liquidity available (utilization at 98%+), so if you hold stUSDS and want to exit, now is a good time.
The borrow rate is at 26.82% - while this number seems very high, it should be understood in the context of the SKY staking reward rate, which is at 16.82%.
This means the effective borrow rate is just 10%, and that rates could sustainably remain at this level for the very long term.
The very large depositor that is the main reason for the rate spike has successfully withdrawn about 30% of their original 81.2m stuSDS position over the last 6 days - so at the current pace the high utilization levels causing continuously increased rates could be expected to be over in about 3 weeks.
To help further support the liquidity and shorten the duration that the stUSDS market remains in this liquidity constrained state, the Sky Core Council has begun taking steps to improve the situation, and I posted a forum post detailing upcoming Atlas Edit Proposals that provide short term measures to further improve stUSDS liquidity and reduce the probability that the ecosystem would have to deal with manual liquidations of SKY Stake Borrow positions.
