Basically, the chart below shows that USDT and USDC are still huge, but their dominance isn’t absolute anymore.
The market has become commoditized enough for other stablecoins to quietly gain market share.
What's driving this shift:
• Chains and apps have realized they can issue their own stablecoins.
• Capturing the yield on reserves locally is appealing.
• Distribution is more important than the brand on the token.
• Leverage has shifted from issuers to those routing the flow.
