Ideally, they should NOT be. The most important factors for a project is the PRODUCT and the TEAM. If you can nail value proposition and execution, every other thing is an add. Our classical example is Hyperliquid. Other projects include Pendle and Kaito. These guys didn't raise the most amount of money. But VCs are still very important. The connections and guidiance they bring to projects are of immense value. Besides VC backed plays, we also have onchain plays too. What you should focus on is how to identify good projects irrespective of VC backing. If you can do this, you've gotten some part of the job done.
