Walrus Protocol 의 비용 구조와 경제학
Walrus Protocol 은 Sui 블록체인 위에서 동작하는 탈중앙화 저장 및 데이터 가용성 프로토콜로, 대용량 파일을 저렴하게 저장할 수 있도록 설계되었습니다.
Walrus Protocol 에 저장된 모든 데이터는 공개되며 Sui 체인에서 관리되는 객체로 표현되어, 스마트 계약을 통해 저장 기간 확인이나 삭제 등이 이뤄질 수 있다고 합니다.
Walrus Protocol 에 데이터를 저장하는 과정에서 비용은 네 가지 요소로 발생됩니다.
먼저 데이터를 Walrus Protocol 에 저장하기 위한 리소스를 계약하기 위해 사용됩니다. WAL 토큰을 지급하여 리소스를 구매하거나 다른 사용자에게 양도 받을 수 있습니다.
다음으로 데이터를 Walrus에 업로드 하려면 WAL 토큰을 통해 비용을 지불해야합니다.
그리고 지금까지의 과정에 더해 데이터를 검증하는 과정까지 포함하여 모든 과정마다 SUI 를 통한 트랜잭션 비용이 발생합니다.
마지막으로 Walrus 에 데이터를 저장할때 SUI 저장 펀드에 일정 부분의 SUI를 예치해야한다고 합니다. 만약 Walrus Protocol 상의 데이터를 삭제하면 이때 예치한 SUI는 돌려받는다고 합니다.
이런 다양한 비용 구조를 @WalrusProtocol 이 가지고 있기 때문에 비용 최적화 전략 또한 존재합니다.
첫번째로 대규모 리소스 구매와 분할입니다. Walrus Protocol 데이터 저장을 위한 리소스를 구매할때 한번에 대량의 리소스를 구매 후 분할하여 사용할 수 있다고 합니다.
또한 사용된 리소스에 존재하는 데이터를 삭제 후 재사용하여 비용 절감이 가능합니다.
그리고 Walrus Protocol에서 SUI 트랜잭션 수수료를 절감하기 위해 한번에 여러가지의 리소스에 데이터를 등록 할 수 있다고 합니다.
