From 2023-2025 there have been a few good memes: Pengu, Fart, Pepe, Mog, Bonk (top of mind). Nothing outside of Trump has launched since late 2024 thats been good. Memes have staying power, virality, culture and lore. They penetrate broader media, arent down 90% and and hold volume and non CT users express interest or know about them. All these trench coins are pure noise. People buy only bc of the flip. None are reaching exit velocity. Trenches have over financialized coins looking for bundles or KOLs - they have turned these coins in to celeb coins. Oh did Bonk guy tweet about it, oh toly RT, oh which and which kols are pushing it. if you think about it they hold no characteristics of a meme coin. they are pure slot coins where you look for what the house favors. btw this not a knock on the leaders. just the state of the holder base and bidders who buy for the wrong reasons. all legit memes have reject reaching becoming an actual coin and just end up in the graveyard. A meme isn't a meme because some guy shills it. its a meme because it has culture and lore and people independent of token or price care about it. none of these memecoins with actual lore or culture can break out. trenches are dead.
