Made it over to the Roman Storm trial today to see how it stacks up to watching the other great crypto cases:
SBF vs. USA
Do Kwon vs. USA
Alex Mashinsky vs. USA
This case is very different, and importantly, could directly implicate Ethereum’s roadmap moving forward 🧵 ⬇️

Storm is facing a number of charges tied to his Tornado Cash money mixer, which was utilized (among others) by North Korea to funnel stolen funds from various crypto hacks
The prosecution today walked through expert witness testimony.
The defense stumbled through their part
The jurors seemingly followed through the government’s explainers on how Tornado functioned and how they chose to leave a door open for state-sanctioned actors
The defense got shut down by the judge on more than a few points and appeared rattled from the beginning of the day
The government only has a couple more witnesses and could rest their case as early as today or tomorrow
Roman Storm has not decided whether or not he is going to testify
The defense may only need 3 or 5 days, so not far off
