어제 @SonicLabs의 프라이빗 KOL 디너에 초청받아 다녀왔습니다.
소닉은 여느 프로젝트처럼 상장 전 분위기만 띄우고 마는 팀이 아닙니다.
이미 글로벌 주요 거래소 상장을 모두 마친 뒤,
그 성과를 바탕으로 직접 한국을 방문해 커뮤니티와 마주한 팀입니다.
이러한 방식 자체가 흔치 않기에, 더 인상 깊게 다가왔습니다.
그리고 7월 17일(목)에 열린 커뮤니티 밋업에서는
굿즈, 음식, 장소까지 세심하게 준비되어 있었고,
팀이 행사 하나에 얼마나 많은 정성과 예산을 들였는지 느껴졌습니다.
다만, 예상보다 많은 인원이 몰리면서
현장에서는 다소 소란과 혼란이 있었던 것도 사실입니다.
이 부분에 대해 소닉 팀도 겸허히 피드백을 수용했고,
업계 관계자, KOL, 커뮤니티의 다양한 의견을 반영해
KBW 기간 중에는 더욱 성숙하고 의미 있는 밋업을 선보이겠다는 계획을 전했습니다.
무엇보다도 인상 깊었던 점은,
사건에 관련된 당사자분들과는 밋업 이후에도 지속적으로 연락하며 상황을 함께 해결해 나가고 있었다는 점,
이번 밋업이 단발성 이벤트로 끝나는 것이 아니라,
한국 커뮤니티와의 장기적인 관계 구축의 시작점이라는 점입니다.
실제로 한국인을 위한 특별 Yappers 보상 프로그램도 시작되었으며,
앞으로도 지속적인 소통과 이벤트를 이어갈 예정이라고 합니다.
이처럼 한국 커뮤니티를 진심으로 챙기고 행동으로 보여주는 팀은 흔치 않다고 생각합니다.
@SonicLabs의 앞으로의 행보가 더 기대되는 이유입니다.
