I often compare ZCash to Telegram because they both have privacy *features*, but these features are hardly used, severely compromised due to compliance risks, and use cryptography that is not well reviewed. This would be in contrast to Monero, which is more akin to SimpleX or even Signal. I realised today that the comparison is actually really unfair, and out of courtesy and respect I want to find a better analogy…because ultimately, Telegram has actual users. Any suggestions for a new analogy?
